When Opfin displays a particular payment's status as "In Progress", then that implies that we have passed the payment on to the bank for processing, but have not received an acknlowedgement yet that it has been completed. This can be due to any of the following reasons -

  • The payment was an NEFT or RTGS payment, and it was made outside of regular banking hours. In this case, it will get processed on the next working day.
  • There is an issue at the banking layer, which is causing the payment to get delayed. 

Do note that any payment of an amount greater than Rs 2,00,000 is automatically converted to an NEFT payment, since IMPS has an upper limit of Rs 2 lacs.
